Cancer is a disease that is affecting more and more American families every year. There are numerous studies on the internet about how ganoderma can help with different types of cancers. How is this possible? Ganoderma has anti-cancer agents called polysaccharides and germanium. Polysaccharides are especially good at anti-tumor activity due to their amazing nutrients. These nutrients are known to help strengthen cell membranes, boost anti-oxidant levels, and cleanse toxins from the body. Since the herb is a natural body detoxifier, when the extract is taken orally it helps cleanse the body of toxins via liver detoxification. This improves liver function and stimulates the regeneration of liver cells. The other cancer fighting agent, organic germanium, has powerful healing capabilities based on three major changes it makes in a body''s overall balance. Germanium has been shown to discharge abnormal electrical impulses around cell abscesses, it boosts the body''s overall "good" oxygen levels, and it regulates the body''s whole electrical system. Ganoderma also has something called Adenosine which contains anti-inflammatory properties. Adenosine is also known to lower cholesterol and provide sustained energy. By helping to bring energy to the cells, adenosine serves an important function in human metabolism. Finally, ganoderma has a property called ganoderic essence which is the source of the mushroom''s skin-healing ability. This essence/extract has been shown to ease and/or heal certain skin diseases when applied directly to the skin by rejuvenating body tissues. It also helps heal canker sores and other oral ulcerations. Ganoderma clinical trials and studies are not as common in the United States as they are in China. This mushroom is still new to North American researchers. Most U.S. studies have only come about since 2000. China on the other hand has several decades of research, so many of the clinical trials you will see will be from Chinese researchers. There are extensive trials especially on many different types of cancers and cancer cells. The following articles will document only the cancers that have sufficient research backing ganoderma as an alternative medicine for prevention or recovery of that specific cancer. Please click on each individual article to see information specific to that type of cancer.
